Memories

Some friend of mine had this on their blog. It was so fun to read. Leave me a comment a give me a laugh. I know there is alot to laugh about in my life. Thanks! :0 lol

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together (or my husband). It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

I love your little babys. Remember when you would wrap Katie up so tight in a blanket and then put her in the closet to sleep. The tighter the better.

My absolute first memory of you (and you're gonna laugh) is when your mom was pregnant with you and Mike. I remember standing in our kitchen, your mom and my mom were talking, your mom being VERY pregnant and I being young and stupid and not really knowing how babys came out kept trying to look under her shirt to see if I could see you guys. I just thought if I could get a good peek, I'd see the two of you looking at me. That's such a strong memory too. Funny huh?

Tara always was a little strange! :-) Well I remember you and Michael coming over to swim a few times and me thinking I was so mature and wanting you guys to think I was more mature. I also remember being so happy to have a relative at Mesa High with me since I didn't have a sibling there. (me a sophomore, you and Michael were seniors) Chad said that you were really fun to "ditch" with!!!

I remember the fun "Family" get togethers with our family and your family. We always had Christmas dinner and that was always so fun to see everyone and what they got for Chirstmas and the food was always so good. We had fun swim parties in the summer with your family, we had BBQ at Mom's house, we also tried to get together close to Easter. Now that most my family is out of state, we don't get to enjoy these times anymore. I miss them. It was fun seeing you in Utah by the way.

I remember that time I almost got us into a car accident and then I sobbed and couldn't get rid of shaking and you were SO calm and collected and your BABY WAS IN THE CAR so I am sure if you were to ever swear it would have been then. Remember that? Or when I didn't know you well and you came to my house for Marci's baby shower and you didn't eat one bite of all my delicious treats that I made. Or our FIRST time at Girls Camp together mooning the other ward and being chased by Sis. Skousen. We were laughing so hard and when she told Anna Toone that there were two "grown ladies" running around, I thought I would literally pee my pants.

And because I know you NEED comments here:

Another memory I have is of you doing your pilates-band thing in front of a group of ladies at some party at your house (was it a baby shower for Terese). And I remember thinking, "she's on the floor, on her back, showing off her pilates moves." And it was odd that it wasn't odd, considering it was a ladies' party and all.

Or that one time we both did the lemon cleanse and lost a ton of weight and you did it while your house was all torn up! And we smelled like lemons! BLECH! And we both chewed food and spit it out! HAHA! Good times!

Or the fact that when I first met you, you were pregnant with braces running around the church all important as the Primary Pres. Or how about the time you wanted to be all holiday-domestic and bought the very impressive 3D Halloween cookie cutters and made sugar cookies from scratch. yeah, that was NOT your thing! But your kids thought I was pretty talented, which is kind of sad. That was funny, you've got to admit!

And that one time you and your girls came to my house to swim during father and sons and your daughters thought my pool was gross, but it was just old. And you were the cool mom swimming with them in the pool. (Secretly thinking that the pool was messy, but better than my messy house, i am sure!) And then we made cookies at your house and watched a movie.

By the way, don't go looking on my blog for this. I love you, but I'm not following dictate #2!

And because it's late and I'm giddy from working on lame projects I'm posting #12! You're gonna be so happy in the morning (and then probably slightly let down!). MISS YOU AND MIKEY!

My very first memory of Melanie was the day I found out I was having twins. Back in the old days you just had an x-ray. When the tech told me it was twins I was laughing and crying at the same time. There isn't too many things as cute and wonderful as 2 little babies laying on the bed, side by side.
Most of my early memories of Melanie often included Mike. What a pleasure to raise those two precious babies. They were pretty cute. Wish I could include a pic, just in case you don't believe me.

I remember the first time you cut my hair (at my parent's house) after Ashley was born. Ashley cried almost the whole time and you felt so bad. Don't know why, but that's a memory that sticks out to me. You were such a good mommy. :-) Lauree
